Tyler's 1st Day of Kindergarten!!

The four of us, supporting our boy - we spent time praying over Tyler before he left to ask God for protection, encouragement, wisdom and most of all guidance and love.

Tyler and his buddy, Camden, both ended up at the same school - after both of our families moved into the same area two weeks ago!

YES, I AM READY!!

Here he is, waiting outside of his room, ready to go in! He is wearing his new shark shirt - a shirt he picked out himself and one that he has been waiting to wear for weeks! It was a special day - he even had new shoes 8).

He did it and so did we!! Tyler had an amazing first day of kindergarten - he loved exploring his class, finding his cubby, meeting the fish (spot and goldie), learning the ropes in the bathroom (they made each child do a run through in the bathroom to make sure they had it down), and then singing a FUN and very silly song that mommy and daddy had to dance to too!

On the way to school, his brain was working over time with questions about where we were going to be and when we would pick him up, but once we got there, he was all smiles and full of energy - good energy that is. He was a little embarrassed during the opening circle time because when they called his name he was supposed to say his age and he said 6 instead of 5 - but that's ok - everyone chuckled....

So after hanging in the class for an half an hour and having snack with Ty (which Andrew and I both enjoyed too), we went onto meet with the principal and Tyler had a great time with his new class. Both teachers have sons named Tyler J. so they made him feel right at home!

We can't wait for a great year!!
