So who says that a one year old really doesn't get it? Well, Miss K definitely enjoyed her birthdays...yes, more than one! She seemed to revel in being the princess and I think her new favorite food is cake with lots of icing!
On her actual birthday, 10-8, we had a normal day...but spruced it up with some pancakes for breakfast in the morning. Then she was serenaded by the cute 7/8 year old neighborhood girls who sang her a special birthday song to the tune of Zippity Do Da - it went like this:
Zippity Do Da, Zippity Eh, My oh my it's Kayla's Birthday,
Plenty of sunshine is coming her way,
Zippity do da, zippity eh!
It was so cute and I made sure I got it on video! Then, Nema and Papa stopped by and brought her her very own princess cake, which she gobbled down that night in an instant (not all of it though cause it was huge)! And the poor thing paid dearly for all the frosting for days after!
