New Hampshire - Part 1, Fun on the Boat

It's that time again, the time that we seem to wait for all year long, the time when we get to escape the craziness of the Bay Area and escape to the peaceful, serene woods and lakes of beautiful New Hampshire.  We began this trip four years ago on a whim - mostly to spend time with Judy and Jeff.  After that first year, we were hooked and have returned every year since.

Here we can reconnect as a family, slow down, spend time with our family (the 5 of us and Judy and Jeff), and enjoy special fun that we don't usually get to do at home.

We are on day four and so far this year is amazingly different from last!  Instead of the rain and cold from last year, we have been bombarded with 90+ degree days, sun, and humidity!  While it is hot, we much prefer this because it means more time on the boat and in the water!  Everyone is relaxed, having fun and just hanging out.

Here are a few picks from our first days - I am featuring the boat pics in episode one since we have been on it a ton!  More to come in future blogs, so stay tuned!

Kayla on Day One - she loves it here!  Last year she was only 10 months old and unwilling to leave Mommie's arms, so this year, with her much more adventurous, we are all having more fun.

THE BOAT:
Every year, Poppi brings his Boston Whaler and we all enjoy it more than we can say!  We swim from it, fish from it, ski, wake board, surf ski, tube and just cruise.

Ready for the boat - but not so sure about the jacket...lightning mcqueen is cool, but not that cool!

Poppi is beaming - he loves being on the boat and taking us all over the lake!

Daddy and Wyatt after a fun cruise - this was before the 90 degree heat, hence the long pants!

That was a fun boat trip...

Andrew LOVES the boat as much as his Dad - Like Father, Like SON!

Kayla and I on our dinner cruise last night - we took dinner, swam and cruised around the lake at 5 until 7:30, it was the perfect way to end a long hot day!  Jeff calls these glasses my Hollywood look - They are a little different for me, but I love them!

Tough Guy - ready to do his much requested flips off the boat!

A perfect 10 entry!

Even Baby gets to come on the boat - the first day we had two overboard drills with Baby and a very hysterical Kayla as she watched her baby sink...but Baby was saved both times and she recovered.  Now she hangs on tight!

Tyler learning to stand on the surf ski - now we just have to teach him to do it while the boat is moving!

We finally got Wyatt to go in the water last night - we bribed him with a donut!

Gaga watching from on board...she was the life guard and babysitter of KK who we dunked once but she screamed the entire time so that was the end of that!
