Our Little Man, Wyatt, Is FOUR!

Our Little Man, Wyatt,
Today you are four,
With great gusto and strength,
You grow, a baby no more.

On this day, I relish the thoughts,
That remind me of the journey thus far,
Each and every day I have sought,
To love you more and more.

You bring laughter to my eyes,
And joy to my soul,
My little man who loves without disguise,
Who seeks to fill my emptiest hole.

I watch you with a mothers sight,
As you care for those you love,
You seek to always make things right,
You hold people in your heart, as tight as a glove.

I love you my Wyatt,
I will always remain,
Devoted to you, strong and quiet,
My love is not something you have to attain.

Grow my sweet child,
Blossom and be,
The sweet, caring boy, soft yet wild,
A special gift from God, especially for me.

From you I learn to be still,
To love without holding back,
To let loose with all my will,
To forgive with my heart still in tact.

You are strong and passionate,
Yet loving and tender as like a lion, you roar,
I can't wait to see what God has for you,
Your future awaits, lets see you soar!

Love,
Mom

How can it be that you are 4 my love?  Wyatt, to say that we love you does not near reflect the love in our hearts and souls for you.  You are a special gift from God to me and everyday you teach me.  You teach me to live for God, to love others without holding back, to give without asking for receipt, to do in love, and to forgive in any way possible.

Today (4) with his brother and buddy, Tyler and Tyler

A glimpse into your heart - the things about Wyatt that amaze me:

Wyatt, when you are ready to do something, you jump in with both feet and never look back.  A few weeks ago we took off your training wheels and Daddy barely had time to stand up after taking them off, before you jumped on and took off down the drive way!  We were in awe that you didn't need help - you decided to do it and do it you did!  You also just started writing your whole name - one day you couldn't do it and the next day you could!  You amaze me.

Wyatt, you have a heart that seeks to love people, it is tender and true.  Every time I leave, you run after me to hug me and let me know that I matter.  When Kayla is sad, you search the house for her horse and you don't stop until it is resting safe in her hands.  When Tyler is sad, hurt or upset, you go out of your way to hunt me down and get me to tend to your brother.  When Daddy leaves in the morning, you run to his car to say one last goodbye.  God has given you a tender heart and I pray that he will use it for loving his people!

Wy, you love to cook!  Your brother is the artist and you are the chef!  Not a day goes by that you don't ask to help me make something - either bake or make dinner.  One time I let you smell all the spices and since then, you love pulling them out of the drawer and examining them!

You can get along with anyone!  You are easy to play with, you include the kids in your class, the kids on the street, you make everyone feel welcome - and when Tyler deserts his friends, you play with them and make them feel welcome.

You give the best hugs - when your little arms wrap around me and hold me tight, the world melts away and I get lost in the warmth of your precious love!

Wyatt, you forgive me always and easily and I am so thankful for that - for your little heart that holds no grudges and that loves me purely for who I am.

I pray, Wyatt, on this day, that God will lead you and love you.  That his purpose for your life will rein true.  That he will use your precious loving, forgiving, faithful heart for his glory and purpose!  I love you, Daddy, Tyler, Kayla and Cooper love you.  And I know that God is looking down on you today, smiling, because of the precious, special boy you are!  You are a blessing to us, dear boy, and we are so thankful for you.  Amen!

LET THE THREE DAY BIRTHDAY FUN BEGIN!
